We’re continually improving our website and ecommerce platform, looking for ways to make things more beautiful, functional and easy to understand.  We're looking for an expert web developer to join our team and help accelerate our progress. In this position you’ll be turning wireframes into functional web pages and applications. You'll be helping us design and run A/B tests on various parts of the user experience, optimize pages for speed, quickly implement slick promotional pages and improve backend admin functionality.  You'll be helping us simplify our style guide and css, make adjustments for search engine optimization, implement automated testing, and generally just get done what needs to get done.

This is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a fast-growing startup. You will contribute to the success of the company with your skills, and will also be given opportunities to grow your skills in other areas such as back-end development, devops/system administration.

About you:

What we need you to do:

  • Collaborate on designing and building new features for the Proper Cloth platform (consumer facing, back-office tools, automation)
  • Create front-end standards and reusable components across the entire Proper Cloth platform
  • Ensure cross-browser/cross-device compatibility and responsiveness
  • Test, test and retest.  Make sure everything we deploy is perfect
  • Help manage our style guide and CSS and ensure everything looks perfect in all cases
  • Bring startup enthusiasm and energy :)

What you have:

  • Very strong Javascript skills, along with a deep understanding of JavaScript design patterns and frameworks
  • Experience with semantic HTML5 and CSS3
  • Experience with building web, mobile and responsive user-interfaces
  • Experience in server-side templating using PHP or similar languages
  • An eye for excellent UI and UX

Experience that would make you an even better candidate:

  • Bootstrap or similar CSS framework
  • Experience with SEO and Google Analytics
  • AngularJS, Backbone.js or similar front-end frameworks
